In 2021, athletes from around the world will gather in Tokyo to perform incredible feats of strength and agility, putting on full display their immense dedication, passion, and perseverance.
In this moment, Etsy wanted to celebrate and recognize a different kind of dedication and perseverance – that of makers and crafts-people who have overcome their own obstacles along the path to pursuing their passions. They too have spent their lives, training, working and honing their crafts, ignoring the naysayers in the sheer hope that one day they might reach greatness. It’s a story that so many can find themselves in, and one we felt was worth telling in the wake of the biggest showcase of dedication there is, the Olympic Games.
